A playful programming language you can touch. Montessori approved, and LOGO Turtle inspired. Learn programming away from the screen. Coding is a basic 21st century literacy, and one our children can’t afford to miss out on! Starting young gives them an edge, and starting with something fun, that they actually enjoy, means they learn faster and better.

Scratch Jr.

Scratch Jr. is an introductory programming language that enables young children (ages 5-7) to create their own interactive stories and games. Children snap together graphical programming blocks to make characters move, jump, dance, and sing. Children can modify characters in the paint editor, add their own voices and sounds, even insert photos of themselves — then use the programming blocks to make their characters come to life.

With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century.
